Who do you work with?
You collaborate with engineers, QA specialists, platform teams, vendors and store operations. You work closely with experts in cloud, hardware, integrations and software.
As a Solution Engineer, you strengthen the technology used in more than 700 stores. You keep our current store software reliable and help build a modern, cloud‑native platform. The role combines hands‑on engineering, collaboration and initiative. You help Jumbo move forward by improving systems, preventing issues and building new solutions.
Get started! This is what you will do
You work on stable store technology that colleagues use every day. You optimise existing third‑party store software and keep our legacy systems running smoothly. You dive into challenges around self‑checkout, scanners, checkout systems and store platforms.
You improve our new environment, making it safer, smarter and ready for the future. You explore how we can use cloud‑native components effectively and how to strengthen monitoring, alerting and automation. You advise on choices in our transition to a new platform and contribute to the successor of the current R10 system.
You handle incidents, releases, testing, infrastructure questions and functional challenges. You collaborate with vendors to investigate issues or align solutions. You work in the Store Test Lab on new features, integrations and improvements.
- Optimising existing store software for stable store operations
- Maintaining legacy systems during the transition to the new platform
- Building cloud‑native solutions for the Store IT landscape
- Setting up and improving monitoring and alerting
- Investigating and resolving technical and application‑level incidents
- Testing and validating releases in the Store Test Lab
- Aligning solutions with vendors and platform teams
- Contributing to the migration to a new Store IT Platform
- Assessing technical chains and improving integrations
- Providing advice on architecture and technical decisions
- Documenting findings and sharing knowledge within the team

You become part of the Store Team within the Store Technology, Data & AI domain. You work with platform engineers, QA specialists, store operations and vendors such as Simac and NCR. You bridge the gap between technology and real‑world store processes. You share knowledge, ask questions and guide colleagues through changes. You join a team that modernises, builds and takes ownership of the entire in‑store technology landscape.
