Our Employment Conditions

Compensation

Jumbo pays every 4 weeks, meaning you receive your salary 13 times a year. Additionally, in May, you will receive 8% holiday allowance (unless you have a part-time job at Jumbo with an all-inclusive salary), your pension is well-arranged, and we ensure a good work-life balance with sufficient vacation days. As you grow older or develop in your role, you can make significant salary progress with us.

Employee Discounts

At Jumbo, you’re not just rewarded with a salary; you also receive various extra discounts. With your Jumbo Extra’s card, you get a 10% discount on groceries you buy at Jumbo, up to a maximum of €325 discount per year*. We believe it’s important that you feel good, which is why you (and family members at the same address) can take advantage of a discount on our collective health insurance via Menzis. With Benefits at Work, you get great discounts on fun activities to enjoy in your free time.

  • At Jumbo, your salary grows with you.
  • A good work-life balance; we’ll discuss your working hours and shifts together. You also have the option to buy or sell vacation days, ensuring you have enough time for school, sports, or other hobbies.
  • Do you live more than 10 kilometers from your workplace? Then you’ll receive a travel allowance of €0.21 per kilometer, up to a maximum of 35 kilometers one-way. Additionally, Jumbo has a bike scheme where you can buy a new bike with a group discount and possibly tax benefits.
  • Develop yourself, earn money, and simultaneously obtain your MBO or HBO diploma: this is possible at Jumbo. Click here for more information.

  • At Jumbo, your salary grows with you.
  • A good work-life balance; we’ll discuss your working hours and shifts together. You also have the option to buy or sell vacation days, ensuring you have enough time for school, sports, or other hobbies.
  • Do you work in the evenings or weekends? Then you’ll receive an additional allowance on top of your salary. The amount of the allowance depends on the days and times you work.
  • Do you live more than 10 kilometers from your workplace? Then you’ll receive a travel allowance of €0.21 per kilometer, up to a maximum of 35 kilometers one-way. Additionally, Jumbo has a bike scheme where you can buy a new bike with a group discount and possibly tax benefits.

Employment Conditions for Head Office Employees

  • At Jumbo, your salary grows with you. Depending on your role and the achievement of organizational goals, you may be eligible for an annual organizational bonus.
  • A good work-life balance; we’ll discuss your working hours and shifts together. You also have the option to buy or sell vacation days, ensuring you have enough time for sports or other hobbies.
  • At the head office in Veghel, you’ll find a pleasant workspace with a restaurant, our Food Café, where you can buy your fresh lunch daily. Additionally, you can work out daily at the Jumbo Gym, next to the head office, for a small monthly fee.
  • At Jumbo, we offer the possibility to work partially from home. You will receive a reimbursement to properly set up your home office and a home-working allowance per day worked from home.
